Comments: A narrowly-upright, broadleaf evergreen 15' tall by 6' wide. Foliage is handsome, bright glossy green. Male form valued mostly as a pollinator. Hybrid between dahoon holly (Ilex cassine) and American holly (Ilex opaca). All Foster hollies are marginally hardy in central Ohio. Moderate to severe dieback can be expected during severe winters.
