.
Common name: Golden Verboom common winterberry
Family: Aquifoliaceae (holly family)
Distribution: Species native to e. North America
Hardiness: USDA Zone 4

Comments: This is a highly desirable winterberry that produces masses of bright yellow berries from fall through winter. It was developed in Holland for the cut branch industry - the branches make beautiful additions to floral arrangements or holiday decorations when laden with berries. Contrasts nicely with the usual red-fruited winterberries. Forms a sizeable shrub, growing 6-8 feet tall and 6 feet wide. Has dark green foliage and white, inconspicuous flowers.
