Comments: This is a female selection originating at Holly Ridge Nursery, Geneva, Ohio, within the last two decades, Winter Sun American holly grows to around 20' tall. Distinguished from the species by its fruit which initially color yellow but later turn to a peach to orange-red, this form also fruits precociously and is rated highly for its cut sprigs at Christmas time.
