Comments: A broadly conical, broadleaf evergreen, 15-20' tall. Valued for exceptionally glossy, dark green, leathery leaves. Flowers occur as tiny white clusters in the leaf axils (May). Fruit is larger than most and may reach up to 1/2" wide, ripening to a bright red by late summer and persisting into winter. Requires a male pollinator for fruiting.
