Comments: A tightly upright, broadleaf evergreen tree to 15' tall by 6' wide. A male selection valued for its attractive, glossy dark green leaves. More fine-textured than most American hollies with smaller, 3" long leaves, very spiny along the margins. A handsome compact specimen sometimes used for hedging.
