A female broadleaf evergreen selection with medium green, spiny leaves. The original plant is 9' tall and 22' wide in 45 years! An unusual shrubby, mound-like habit. In the presence of a suitable male pollinator it produces vivid red, d" diameter fruits that persist into winter.
