Comments: This intentional hybrid was selected by Elwin Orton at Rutgers University in the 1960's. It develops into a broadly conical plant with glossy, exceptionally dark green, evergreen leaves that are almost round. Ultimate height is 20-30' tall and about 15' wide at the base. Globose red fruits on this female clone are 1/4" wide and produced only in the presence of a male pollinator. Great used as a specimen or as a high hedge or screen.
