Comments: A broadleaf evergreen to 15-20 tall by 10-12' wide. Produces tiny white flowers in the leaf axils (May) followed by red berries that persist into winter. Leaves are large, 2-4" long, glossy, dark green, heavily spined along the margins. Requires a male pollinator to ensure fruiting.
