Comments: A large version of inkberry, Ilex glabra. Has 2" dark green leaves. Grows natively in swampy sites in Virginia to Florida where it forms stoloniferous colonies. Female plants have black fruit in the presence of a male pollinator. Best grown in masses in sun or shade.
