Comments: A large, deciduous shrub growing 7-14' tall and wide with multiple light brown to gray-brown stems. Noted for its two-toned, green and white flowers which occur in early to midsummer (June-July) as upright panicles. Fertile florets remain tight and green while larger, sterile male florets, open white at the base. Foliage consists of opposite, simple, 4-6" long leaves.
