Comments: A deciduous shrub, growing 5-8' tall and wide with numerous slender, light brown branches. Flowers open in midsummer (June/July) in shade of light and lovely blue. Leaves are large and coarse with toothed margins. A subspecies with mostly fertile florets. Plant in full sun to shade in rich, moist, well-drained soil. Be sure to irrigate during drought.
