Comments:
This classic selection of our native smooth hydrangea boasts huge domed panicles of white flowers sure to dazzle. It is a deciduous shrub with a rounded habit growing 3-5' tall and wide. The clusters of sterile, white flowers appear in huge, rounded heads (corymbs) which typically grow 8-12" across. It flowers in June for up to two months, sometimes with a small repeat bloom in the fall. This clone is a naturally occurring cultivar which was discovered in the wild near Anna, Illinois. A great plant for a part sun corner or mixed border where it has room to spread.
