Comments: Receiving three stars in the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society trials, this excellent red-flowering selection is perhaps the best of the red flowering selections! Blooming late winter, this deciduous shrub grows vigorously 12' tall and wide. The clear red, strap-like flowers have a dark purple calyx, slightly scented. Summer foliage is dark green while fall color is yellow with orange overtones. Best used in the shrub border or as a specimen where the flowers can be enjoyed in late winter/early spring.
