Comments: A medium to large-growing, deciduous shrub, reaching 10' tall and 15' wide. Wonderfully scented mid to late winter flowers have twisted, strap-shaped petals that open yellow-orange. Their bases are tinted reddish purple giving an overall good orange color to this spreading shrub. Leaves are alternate, simple, dark green in summer taking on yellow-orange fall color. An excellent specimen for the winter landscape in the shrub border.
