Comments: A unique color of orange-red flowers adorns this medium to large-growing, spreading deciduous shrub. It can reach 8-10' tall and wide in 10 years. Faintly scented strap-shaped, crimpled petals open in early to mid-March with an overall burnt orange color and contrasting red-purple sepals. Leaves are alternate, simple, glossy dark green in summer taking on yellow fall color. An excellent flowering specimen for the winter landscape.
