Comments: A winter flowering deciduous shrub growing 8' tall and 6' wide with an upright, compact habit. The strap-like petals open orange-red and have a faint fragrance. Its flowering can be somewhat biennial in nature. Leaves are alternate, simple, glossy dark green in summer becoming yellow in fall. An excellent specimen for color in the mid-winter landscape.
