Comments:
A dense, round, suckering 6-10' shrub with medium to dark green leaves that turn golden yellow in fall and last up to two weeks. Blooms earlier than other witch-hazels, supposedly around Christmas, with fragrant purplish red strap-like petals. Use this southern US native for groupings, hedges, screens or specimen.
