Comments:
A deciduous shrub growing to around 12' tall with a vase-shaped form. Blue Moon vernal witch-hazel was selected for its deep purple to violet-blue flowers in late February and early March. Foliage is simple, alternate, 3" long with a blue-green color early on changing to dark green in summer. Fall coloration is normally yellow, and leaf persistence over winter is usually slight.
