Comments: An upright shrub to 6' tall by 10' wide. Like other forsythias, the major ornamental feature of this plant is its yellow flowers which open March to early spring before the leaves unfold. This selection's flowers are lighter yellow than the species. Early forsythia is one of the hardiest species grown having bud hardiness to -20° F. Performs best in full sun and well-drained soil.
