Comments: There is no finer specimen tree than a well-grown European beech. This one grows as a rigidly columnar, upright, narrow tree to 50' high but no more than 10' wide. Leaves are a beautiful purple, irregular and undulating. No special pruning is required to develop or maintain this form. Use as an accent plant or a landscape focal point.
