Comments: A medium-sized, deciduous shrub attaining a height of 3-5' but spreading wider by layering. Leaves are medium dark green in summer becoming bronze-purple to yellow in autumn. Yellow flowers in midsummer (late June to July) are ½" wide, grouped in clusters that are 2-3" wide. Noted for its dark, lustrous leaves and rich tones of yellow flowers. Fruits are small, tiny, gray-brown capsules, harboring numerous, dust-sized seed.
