Comments: A rare, deciduous shrub growing 6' tall and wide. Noted for its fragrant white blooms held in 3-4" wide clusters in June. Fruits ripen as capsules, light gray-brown. Well-branched with clean green leaves throughout summer. Bark on younger shoots often peels to reveal pleasing reddish brown underbark. Plant in full sun, well-drained soil.
