Comments:
Korean deutzia is a deciduous shrub growing to 4-6' high and wide distinguished for the warty texture of its first year wood. Leaves average 2-3" long, elliptical to lance-shaped with sharply toothed margins, dark green in summer with no appreciable fall color. Flower clusters open white in the leaf axils (May/June). Fruit matures as an inconspicuous, gray brown capsule. Deutzias are easy to cultivate, adaptable to most any soil type and establish well from spring or fall plantings.
