Comments: A recently introduced deciduous vine, noted for having superior foliar characteristics and fragrant flowers. Will scale solid walls or structures. Attractive, 4-6" leaves are glossier and darker green than seedling-grown plants. Flowers open in late May in white clusters and consist of larger male florets surrounding female florets. Florets persist into winter where they take on a purple-brown to light brown color. Fruits are inconspicuous. Plant in full sun to part shade in rich, moist, organic soil.
