Comments: A vigorous, though rarely used, deciduous vine growing to heights of 20' or more, depending on the support structure. Attractive 4-6" long simple leaves retain a glossy, dark green summer color. White flowers are 2-3" wide and open in late May. Flowers bear some resemblance to hydrangeas. Male florets take on purple-brown color by fall and may persist into winter. Fruits are inconspicuous. Plant in full sun to part shade in rich, moist, organic soil.
