Comments: This was the first weeping redbud in production. It produces a mound of arching branches that are covered in mid to late April with bright magenta flowers. Heart-shaped leaves give the plant a bold look in the garden. A definite specimen plant. Mounds upon itself and height is slow to develop. It spreads about 12' wide. Fall color is yellow but in most years not spectacular. Once established it is a tough tree doing well in urban landscapes. Brotzman's Nursery introduction.
