Synonym: Cercidiphyllum japonicum (Weeping Group) 'Weeping Beauty', Cercidiphyllum magnificum 'Pendulum'
Distribution: Species native to Japan and China

Comments: This fast-growing deciduous tree matures at 15-25' tall and wide. A variation of the weeping katsura-tree, but is more strongly upright in habit to 40-50' with a tendency to develop a single leader. Leaves are heart-shaped, 4" long and wide, bluish green in summer changing to yellow in autumn. In the fall, enjoy bright yellow leaves which give off a sweet fragrance, reminiscent of cotton candy or burnt sugar. Flowers open in late March or early April but are visible only on close inspection. Develops into a gorgeous specimen plant.
