Comments: A deciduous large shrub that is a dwarf selection of this outstanding landscape tree. Habit is unusual in that it is tightly globular, growing to 15' tall and nearly as wide. Foliage emerges purplish changing to bluish green in summer. Leaves are ovate-rounded with scalloped edges. Fall color is yellow to apricot and gives off a spicy brown sugar scent. Great for the smaller garden.
