Comments: A rarely planted, needled evergreen. This species can attain treelike proportions in its native habitat, but will probably remain shrubby in colder climes B less than 20' in Ohio. A dioecious plant with male cones displayed in head-like clusters and female cones paired underneath the needles. Needles are exceptionally glossy, medium to dark green, 2" long. Resistant to deer browse and drought tolerant.
