Comments: A deciduous shrub or small tree with striking stems covered in thorns. It has large, bold, brightly variegated, bipinnate leaves that also sport spines. These leaves can become 2-3' long and half as wide. White flowers occur in late summer on stem terminals. Small black fruit follow the flowers. Excellent used as a striking accent plant.
