Comments: A small, slow-growing tree of rounded habit, attaining a height and spread of 20' in cultivation. Red flowers are arranged in 6-8" tall panicles in May. Fruit is a shiny brown nut enclosed in a yellow-green, slightly prickly husk. Use as a specimen or shade tree.
