Comments:
Large-growing, deciduous tree with a very upright spreading habit and an ultimate shape of oval to oval rounded. Grows 40-60' high with a spread of 25-40'. Leaves are dark green above and grayish green below. Mature bark colors of brown or grayish exfoliating scales expose orangish brown inner bark. Seeds of this cultivar are unusually large (hence the common name). An excellent shade tree if given plenty of space.
