A deciduous, large shrub rarely attaining tree status and if so with multiple trunks. It grows up to 20' tall and wide. Bright green leaves have seven sharply serrated pointed lobes dividing halfway to the center. Fall color is yellow. Use in the shrub border or as a specimen.
