A vigorous, upright-growing, large deciduous shrub or small tree. The 7-9 lobed bright green leaves are divided to half the distance or more of the leaf's width. Leaf color deepens in the summer and in fall turn orange-red. Fruit is a red-winged samara produced in clusters. Use as a specimen or in a border. Avoid areas that receive early or late frosts.
