Synonym:
Acer circinatum 'WB Hoyt'
Distribution:
Species native to n.w. North America

Comments:
The species is commonly a densely branched, deciduous shrub or small tree. This new selection is a witches'-broom which is believed to develop into a 3-4' mound of dense, twiggy growth. The bright green leaves are half the size of the species and will become brilliant red-orange in fall. Discovered at the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland Oregon. It could be used in the rock garden or shrub border. Discovered and introduced by the Flora Wonder™ Collection of Buchholz Nursery.
