Comments:
A needled evergreen tree growing slowly up to 30' tall and half as wide. Light green in summer, in winter foliage becomes a yellowish green causing this selection to stand out amongst darker foliaged plants. Considered the best type of fir for the Midwest, this species is known for retaining its lower limbs longer than many other conifers. Unlike most firs it is equally tolerant of heat and cold once established and very tolerant of urban conditions.
