Comments: This relatively small species may attain 20' in cultivation. Ranges in form from bun-shaped or compact variants to upright, vase-shaped trees. Foliage consists of 2 needles/bundles, dark green year-round, 1-2" long. Winter buds reddish brown. Subject to pine needle scale and sawfly damage, but otherwise quite adaptable to urban conditions.
