Comments: This is a large deciduous tree, 70-75' tall at maturity, with a rounded open crown. While young its habit is distinctly conical. Foliage is an excellent glossy dark green in summer changing to scarlet in the fall. Tolerates dry, sandy soil and usually does not develop the chlorosis problems of pin oak.
