Comments: A little known deciduous shrub that grows 5-6' tall and wide. Primarily valued for its late May flowers which are 1/2" wide and grouped in 2-3" wide clusters. Leaves are opposite, rounded to 5" in length, dark green throughout summer with little or no fall color. Fruit is a non-ornamental light brown to gray capsule. Plant in full sun, well-drained soil.
