Comments: This is a deciduous shrub that will typically grow 6’ tall and wide with an elegantly rounded shape. White lantern- or urn-shaped flowers bloom in drooping clusters in April to early May. The young leaves, which emerge just before or during flowering, are shiny red. This plant has excellent fall color ranging from yellow to orange to scarlet red. Makes a beautiful addition when planted in a shrub border or as the centerpiece of a rock garden landscape.
