Comments: A small deciduous tree or large shrub that grows 25' tall and half as wide. It has pinkish gray wooly catkins in early spring that can be used in floral arrangements. The male catkins can reach 11/2" long. Flower production is maximized by rejuvenating it every several years. Use in the shrub border or in natural areas. Plant in full sun in moist soil.
