Comments: A beautiful, graceful evergreen tree with massive pendulous branches and glaucous-green needles. Can reach 150' tall, but 80' is more common in cultivation. Cones are larger than most species, 6-10" long, extremely resinous, harboring numerous winged seeds. Young stems are bluish green. Bark on older wood is dark gray or gray/brown with smaller fissures. Plant in full sun in well-drained soil.
