Picea omorika - Serbian spruce
.
Common name: Serbian spruce
Family: Pinaceae (pine family)
Distribution: Serbia: Balkan Peninsula
IUCN Red list: Endangered
Hardiness: USDA Zone 4
Life form: Evergreen tree
Comments: A beautiful, narrow, upright evergreen reaching 50' tall at maturity but only 12-15' wide. Noted for excellent dark green foliage with blue-white undersides. Branches arch downward at first then turn back up toward their ends giving this tree one of the most graceful and beautiful habits. Looks outstanding used in groups!
