Comments: A small, round-headed deciduous tree or large, densely branched shrub, 30' tall maximum but often less. Leaves are shiny dark green and have three lobes. Greenish yellow flowers are somewhat showy since they occur before the leaves in April. Stems and leaves do not have milky sap as other closely related maples.
