Comments: Ample Surprise maple grows to be a specimen shrub or a very small tree in time and can be pruned to shape, if required. It can grow 10-13 ft. tall if left unpruned with a 10 ft. spread. It has a compact branching habit and delicate leaves that are bronze-red in spring, dark green in summer, and shades of orange-red in autumn. Several plants can be planted together for a screening effect. Resistant to mildew.
