Comments: The leaves of this small, deciduous tree emerge with a pink blush and unfurl to soft, golden-yellow. During summer, leaves in the shade become green while those in sun become pale yellow, giving the tree a two-toned effect. The leaf shape is cordate (heart-shaped) and in the fall, the characteristic sweet fragrance of cotton candy and buttery golden color is revealed. Growth is fast growing when young, growing 2’ per year to 30’ tall by 20’ wide in 10-15 years. Heritage Seedlings introduction.
