.
Common name: Hedge King™ hedge maple
Family: Aceraceae (maple family)
Distribution: Species native to Europe, n. Africa and w. Asia
Hardiness: USDA Zone 4

Comments: This small, deciduous tree offers a unique form with a compact, narrow habit. The tree naturally grows more upright than the species working well as an urban tree where a more narrow form is desired. It can also be easily trimmed and maintained as a compact hedge or screen. Height can be controlled through annual maintenance but will grow 18-25' tall if left to its own recourse. The small foliage is a crisp spring green turning yellow in fall.
