Comments: This selection of deciduous shrub has been shown to be resistant to infection by Eastern Filbert Blight, a destructive pathogen detrimental to commercial and ornamental Corylus species. It is being used in breeding programs to develop new commercial varieties. This selection will still produce edible nuts and makes a great large shrub for a backdrop or screen.
