Species native to e. Asia

Comments:
A spreading, deciduous tree, 20-30' high with equal spread. Heavily textured dark green leaves set off the four white flower bracts that can persist for several weeks. The flower bracts on this selection appear to be more long and narrow than those of the species. Fruits are red, pulpy berries 1-2" across. Fall color can be dark purple to orange-red. Upon maturity, the mottled gray-brown bark is very attractive. Best used as a specimen or accent plant.
