Comments: A deciduous flowering tree growing 20' high and wide. Known for lovely flowers with very stiff, creamy bracts with purplish clefts. Flowers at an early age and typically has reddish purple fall color. Excellent resistance to powdery mildew. Glossy red fruit is attractive but readily eaten by birds. Best used as a specimen and placed in front of a dark background to accentuate flowers.
